Cost: This service is free to all academic centers, institutes, or research groups. Any self-supporting or auxiliary groups are charged a nominal fee.

Major features: Through use of shared data centers, the campus can provide higher-quality facilities while reducing overall costs. We provide rack space, power, cooling, network, video surveillance, access security, fire suppression, and many other amenities.

Special notes: DCSS has staff on hand to assist with installations and other services that are needed by the tenants.


Campus Customers:

  • College of Engineering has many servers in the facility and many research groups are managing their own systems in this space.
  • ATLAS (Liberal Arts and Sciences) is utilizing the space to house many servers and research group systems in this facility
  • Library – the library is migrating the majority of their services into the DCSS space and is running their virtual environment and storage with us.
