Major features: Expertise and tools for Data Management Plan (DMP) creation and implementation, data management training, data deposit for public access, dataset citation, and access to Active Data Storage (in partnership with NCSA and piloting Spring 2015).

Special notes: The RDS began in 2014 and is a campus partnership (Library, OVCR, GSLIS, Technology Services, NCSA) to provide researchers a single point of entry for managing research data

  • Create and vet Data Management Plans (DMPs) for grant applications
  • Gain knowledge and skills for management and publication of research data
  • Make data publically accessible and obtain digital object identifiers (DOIs) dataset citation
  • Consult RDS expertise on data repositories and data curation
