Campus Mailing Lists

Mailing lists can be used by students, faculty, and staff to create email lists for group-based announcements and discussions.

Center for People & Infrastructures

The Center for People and Infrastructures seeks to better understand social norms, market structures, public policies and human capabilities that shape and are affected by the development of smart infrastructures. The center brings together experts in engineering, design, the social sciences, and computer science.

Course Explorer Web Application and API Support

Technology Services supports the Course Explorer web application, which provides a user interface for viewing course schedules and general education requirements. The Course Explorer is backed by a publicly available web API which encourages the targeted extraction of the aforementioned data from campus and departmental applications.

Cyberdashboard

The CyberDashboard is a stand-alone Java application that accompanies and communicates with the CyberCollaboratory portal through a publish/subscribe messaging service using the event broker. Users download the CyberDashboard to their desktop and subscribe to portal monitoring services. Information regarding workflows, user activities, and other activities in the portal is passed to/from the CyberDashboard through the event manager.

Datacenter Shared Services

Datacenter Shared Services is a campus initiative to consolidate campus server rooms and data centers into shared data center facilities.

Design and Development

Engineering IT offers a full suite of website design and development services for units in the College of Engineering. The web team has expertise in digital design, user experience (UX), website application development, and system administration.

ECID

The ECID cyber environment currently integrates five major components –  a collaborative portal, workflow engine, event manager, metadata repository, and social networking capabilities –  that have novel features inspired by the Cyberenvironment concept and by real-world environmental research scenarios.

Engineering Documents Collection Centre

The depository for all technical reports produced by the College. The Center generally defines a technical report as any report that has not been published elsewhere in its entirety. The EDC collection is housed at the lower level of the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center. The collection consists of over 16,000 titles. They comprise primarily of 23 departmental series. The collection includes reports written for governmental and industrial projects, theses written as technical reports, and some reprints of journal articles.

The ECID Event Manager uses a publish-subscribe service powered by JMS (Java Messaging Service) with semantics-enhanced messages that use RDF (Resource Description Framework) triples to allow the exchange of contextual information about the eve

FormBuilder

FormBuilder is an enterprise service available to University of Illinois departments for creating forms to collect and process information. FormBuilder's high level functionality includes Event Registration, Online Credit Card Payment, and lightweight Workflow functionality with routing, approvals and email notification. Originally designed and built by ATLAS at UIUC, the application is now jointly supported, maintained, and enhanced by AITS and ATLAS as an enterprise system.

To request an ATLAS FormBuilder website, please fill out this page and click SUBMIT. Once we have collected all details of what you need, our normal turnaround time to produce a live site is two weeks. This lets us fit the work in to our schedule, and produce an initial sample site for you to review before it goes live.

Image of Research - UR Edition,

The Image of Research is a multidisciplinary competition celebrating the diversity and breadth of undergraduate student research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. All undergraduate students are invited to submit entries consisting of an image and brief text that articulates how the image relates to the research.
