What backgrounds and skills do your students bring into the classroom? The assumptions and choices we make as instructors about content influence student efficacy and their sense of belonging in the classroom. This interactive session provides tools for a student-centered approach to create a classroom environment that promotes self-efficacy and inclusivity. This session will delve into strategies and perspectives to create a welcoming learning community and environment. This workshop is part of the What You Need to Know: Essentials of Course Design summer series. You may sign up for any or all of the workshops in the series using the registration form. If you register, you'll eventually be added to a Canvas course to help follow along with the series.
