Grant Boilerplate Language
The campus has an extensive single-mode fiber plant that connects all campus buildings into key network nodes, and into a multi-40Gb/sec network core. Using single-mode fiber is not only necessary for long-distance connections, but easily supports the latest developments in network connectivity (e.g. 40/100 Gbps and beyond).
The Illinois Campus Cluster Program provides the following grant/proposal language for members of the University of Illinois. The language is provided to expedite the process of constructing facilities statements and budget justifications for grant proposals being written on the University of Illinois campus.
Members of the University of Illinois may view the language in the provided Google Doc.
